Audience

Stompy & Snorty has a core target audience of children aged 3 to 8 years. While the slapstick, repetition and musicality will entertain younger children, the simple narratives will engage older viewers with themes of friendship, fallibility and cooperation.
Instead of conventional dialogue, universal forms of communication – facial expressions, gesture, slapstick, music and dance – will ensure the series appeals to children across a broad range of social and cultural backgrounds.

Interactivity

Stompy & Snorty will further engage its audience by encouraging children to create their own musical adventures – or misadentures! The Stompy & Snorty website and interactive apps for handheld devices such as iPad and mobile phones will allow children to further engage with characters, stories and educational concepts introduced in the series. These will be explored through puzzles, games and other fun activities that enhance problem-solving and musical skills and encourage creativity. For example, interactive apps will feature games for playing rhythms and melodies with Stompy and Snorty, learning musical scales with The Knuckles, and helping Bones the bashful skeleton to dance.
